Test case to go to House of Lords

On April Fools' Day, the House of Lords has decided to hear the banks' appeal against the test case ruling which found against the banks and which ruling was upheld in the Court of Appeal. See House of Lords

This means that yet again there will be a long delay in resolving this matter. As I have previously commented, these delays suit the banks (of course), but also the government who are totally paralysed with fear when anything to do with the banks comes up. The government will be very happy if this particular time bomb can be handed over to the next government after the general election.

Meanwhile, in the OFT they will presumably continue to twiddle their thumbs for another year or so.
