Cases summary

Bob vs. HFC (HSBC)

Possibly the first claim issued in respect of the new 12 default fee brought in after the OFT ruling on credit cards requiring these charges to be reduced from, typically, 25 to 12. The first month that it was imposed, I promptly issued a county court claim. HSBC (owners of HFC) capitulated within a couple of weeks. I did not accept their confidentiality requirement and, of course, they still paid up.
