The Bankers' Hall of Shame – Cases Totaliser

As at late July 2007, I had won 123 cases against all of the major banks recouping a total of £310,000 of charges (and interest on the charges) for clients.

Because of the stays (hold) put on virtually all cases by the Courts, the winning run ground to a halt pending the resolution of the test case. See OFT test case latest. However, in November, Lloyds and Royal Bank of Scotland conceded on three business accounts claims. It would appear that they both want to put a bit of clear blue water between business accounts and personal accounts. Then Barclays Partner Finance (formerly Clydesdale Financial Services Ltd.) and Halifax paid up on two credit card claims. This brought the total to date to 128 won.

This is a summary of cases and amounts by bank.
