Rachel vs. Norwich & Peterborough Building Society Rachel had been charged well over £4,000 in 6 years by Norwich & Peterborough Building Society. When we issued a claim against the building society, they did not have a clue what to do about it. It seems that this may have been the first county court claim issued against them. They offered Rachel a 50% repayment but also told her that they were going to close her account. The building society filed an acknowledgement of service to the claim, but failed to file a defence. Presumably, they could not think what to say. So on 19 December, default judgment was entered against them. Happy Christmas, Norwich and Peterborough! Return to full listing of cases. |
