Cases summary

Sandra vs. Lloyds

This claim was issued in August 2006 against Lloyds for charges totalling £1457 over a 2-year period from 2003 through 2004.

Lloyds submitted a defence and a court hearing date was set for 11 January 2007. At the end of November, Sechiari, Clark and Mitchell wrote a long rambling letter saying how brilliant their defence was and how we stood no chance of winning. However, they are going to pay the claim in full - "The Bank considers it unhelpful to pre-empt the outcome of those discussions by requiring the court to adjudicate on a particular claim." In other words, they don't think they have a hope in hell of winning!

Having sent the letter agreeing to the payment on 27 November, it took them until 9 January, just 2 days before the scheduled court hearing before they sent a cheque.
