Vicky vs. Lloyds TSB This claim was issued on 26 October. Lloyds filed their standard defence trying to pretend that they had their usual strong case: the charges were not penalties, they were fees for services provided etc. Truro County Court must have had a few cases cancelled because they set a quick date for a hearing of 28 December (normally dates are being set some three months ahead). Anyway, Lloyds buckled very quickly when faced with this deadline and Christmas looming. Their solicitors (Sechiari, Clark & Mitchell), another very busy firm (!), offered settlement on the usual confidential terms. Vicky refused the confidentiality clause and returned the letter with it deleted. Return to full listing of cases. |
